Tearing down silos

We are very familiar with silos in education where teachers close their doors and doo their work without help, input, or other outside assistance. I believe the same is true in churches when it comes to evangelism. Witnesses tend to be Lone Rangers, sharing faith without the help of someone else to look over their shoulder and make suggestions.

Story Listening Evangelism (SLE) as developed by The Aurora Network is designed to break evangelism out of the Lone Ranger silos and share faith to the lost in community. One of the ways we plan to do this in the coming year is to offer on ground and internet webinars where witnesses can share their evangelistic conversations with a group of concerned witnesses led by an evangelism coach using the SLE method. The conversation will generate approached to future witnessing conversations with the lost person that will hopefully lead to the aha! moment in salvation where God's story of redemption and the lost person's cry for help meet.

Let me know by responding to this blog if you are interested in becoming a part of this witnessing community or know someone who would benefit because they are actively witnessing to someone.

Blessings!
